Eight Parker School students have been selected as finalists in the 2015-16 Creativity Connects the World Art Exhibition by Crayola.

Caylee Fushikoshi (grade 2) was selected for her glue and oil paste self portrait titled “Picasso and Me;” Skylar Pinkert (grade 4) was selected for her paper self portrait titled “Warhol Wonder;” Andrew Choi (grade 5) was selected for his digital and acrylic collage painting titled “My Inner Creative Mind;” Kirra Crawford (grade 7) was selected for her digital drawing titled “Creativity Opens Doors;” Jayden Bosque (grade 7) was selected for his digital drawing titled “Creative Minds;” Reece Herendeen (grade 8) was selected for his mixed media collage titled “Creative Baller;” Angelina Ramirez (grade 8) was selected for her mixed media collage titled “Creativity Saves the World;” and Halia Buchal (grade 8) was selected for her pen and marker self portrait titled “Creativity Spreads.”

The Parker School students were among 50 students selected nationwide. Their work will be professionally framed and donated to the U.S. Department of Education to become a part of their permanent collection of children’s original artwork. In addition, each student will receive a customized plaque with a replica of their inspiring artwork, commemorating the achievement. The school and each student artist will also receive a selection of Crayola products.
